Let's Get Started

Tapping to Clock In or Out:

1. Verify your smartphone is ready to use NFC Technology:
    1. You have downloaded and logged into the HCMToGo App
      HCMToGo (Apple)
      HCMToGo (GooglePlay)

      Important: When logging into the app for the first time, locate your Company Short Name on the Tap to Punch frame.
    2. You are connected to the internet
    3. NFC is enabled in the phone settings (Androids)
2. Hold your smartphone on the "Tap Here" area of the frame to clock in or out until you see the push alert.

3. Select the alert to open the HCMToGo app, where you will be prompted to login using your credentials or biometric authentication.

NOTE: When tapping for the first time, you may be prompted to choose the HCMToGo app to continue with the tap action.

  1. Upon logging in, the tap action will process and display a Completed message if successful.

Troubleshooting Issues

If a phone cannot read the Clock In or Clock Out tap.

  1. Verify NFC is enabled on the phone in the settings. This must be enabled before the phone will respond to the token.
  2. Try removing the phone case. Sometimes cases can block the NFC reader on your device due to be blocked by metal or a magnet.
  3. Lookup your phone model and verify that it supports NFC technology and if so, where the NFC reader is located on the phone. Sometimes it is at the top, sometimes in the middle or the bottom. You’ll need to tap in the area where the reader is located.

The punch action becomes stuck on the processing screen and does not complete.

  1. Fully close out of the HCMToGo app and try again.
  2. Make sure location services are enabled for the HCMToGo app in your phone settings and try again.
  3. Verify you have an active internet connection.
