What would you do with seven weeks of paid time off?
Employees are contemplating that question following the introduction of the new PayNorthwest Sabbatical Leave Program. After seven years of employment, eligible employees can take up to seven weeks of paid time off to focus on something personal to them. This might include volunteering, traveling, or a new hobby. One of the best parts of the program is that they can continue to take extended leave every seven years from the end of the previous leave. This opportunity allows for employees to recharge and learn something new and for employees in the office to cross train and take on more responsibility. The first group of eligible employees plan to take leave by the end of 2019. We are looking forward to hearing their stories when they return.
